California Chips

In November of 2000 a couple of people decided California had potential to make a really great potato chip company  - California has all the ingredients grown here so...why not?

That's exactly what the California Chip Company has done. The company is located in Oxnard, CA; where they inspect, cut, and fry every potato and turn them into these bags of delicious flavorful chips.

Why should we care you ask? This company doesn't just make regular flavors of chips. In fact, this company has gotten really popular over the years from a new flavor of chip they've named "Earthquake Chips. According to the company one night California was hit by an earthquake, when the company got back to their factory, all the seasonings had dumped into the batch of chips that was suppose to ship out the next day. Instead of just trashing the overly seasons potato's they bagged them and sold them as Earthquake chips.

I've actually tried these chips and they are a trip. Once you try them it's like a rush of all the flavors and it's like a total time lapse. First you get the salt and vinegar, then the honey BBQ, then the creamy chipotle

I would definitely recommend this company and their chips a try

The cool thing is this company will  ship you their chips fresh! and by the boxes!

Ghost Chili

I'm really big on hot sauces - and am surprised to see a well-known company Mrs Renfro's decided to release a Ghost Chili salsa! For those who don't know Ghost Chili is the sir name for a peper called Bhut Jolokia which is often grown in northeastern India

It is said that the nickname ghost chili originated in India when  it is said - if you eat this pepper you will see you're own apparition. Needless to say this salsa is hot but it's not quite the hottest things i've ever eaten BUT I must say since you can find this at your local Safeway for 4 bucks why not give it a try!
